It's interview day! let's meet... Rebekah!

Hello Dear, would you tell us a little more about you?

Ok About me - My name is Rebekah but my friends call me Berry, it's a nickname I gained at work and have had for over 10 years, Hence my blog being called Berrlicious! I am soon to be 39 (the big 40 next year!) and am a married mum of 3, I have 2 girls and 1 boy. I live in Chester in the North of England with my family and our Siberian Husky.

What kind of craft are you into?

I am mostly a papercrafter, with my speciality being cards. I have dabbled in a bit of scrapbooking but cards are my biggest love! I do occasionally make bags and alter some items such as buckets or boxes too. I also love to bake and make sweet treats which I combine with my papercrafting to make gifts and saleable items on my facebook page/business.

do you have any tips for us?

My tips for everyone out there would be don't be too hard on yourself! We are our own worst critics! But art is subjective, everyone has a different style and what you create is unique. Colouring comes with practice and there is plenty of inspiration across the internet if ever you feel like your mojo is lacking!
I'm also a fan of choosing my papers and colours first, that way I can colour my image accordingly and choose my embellishments to fit. I always find this helps me but I am sure everyone has their own routine!

Any special future project?

Currently I am working on some end of year gifts for the kids to give to their teachers. I always like to give something handmade as I am sure they get plenty of bottles of wine, boxes of chocolates and flowers. it is always nice to receive something handmade! I gave out chutneys at Christmas and received grateful e mails from teachers for such thoughtful gifts! I also have some commissioned cards on the go, generally it is wedding or baby commission cards which are always lovely to make.
